Website Backup is a service that Backlight provides that does automatic and easy backup of websites, databases, and files. All backups are Cloud-based and securely stored. Your backups can be restored at anytime with our one-click restoration feature.

We use FTP or SFTP depending on your host server. If your website is hosted with Backlight Hosting, we can automatically set up the FTP/SFTP connection for you.

All of our Website backup plans include the option of scheduling when you want a backup to take place. Scheduled backup options include daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also schedule the time you want backups to take place.

Absolutely. All files, folders, and databases are encrypted whenever transferred or stored. All of our plans also include daily malware scanning and security monitoring.

Inside of your Website backup account, you simply browse to the site, files, or database backup that you want to restore. Once there, you would click on the “restore” button. And that’s it. The backup would then be safely restored. You can even choose an individual directory to restore a backup to.
